Our Year 5 Preparatory Course provides comprehensive preparation for the Buckinghamshire GL 11+ examination, developing the knowledge, reasoning skills and exam techniques children need to succeed.

Our structured programme covers English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning, introducing increasingly challenging concepts, advanced vocabulary and problem-solving techniques. In English and Mathematics, children work beyond their current year-group expectations, covering many Year 6 curriculum objectives and building a strong foundation for their SATs and future secondary education.

As the 11+ examination approaches, greater emphasis is placed on accuracy, speed, time management and exam technique. Regular assessments and mock examinations help children become familiar with the format and demands of the actual test.
