The Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools (TBGS), which manages and administers 11-plus testing for all 13 grammar schools in the Buckinghamshire area has awarded GL Assessment the contract for the 11 Plus Entrance exam. The board has admitted that the 11 Plus can “never be tutor-proof” and has decided to re-instate GL Assessment as their provider, despite changing to CEM (Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring) 5 years ago amid concerns that its questions were predictable and therefore favoured parents who could pay for tuition. From September 2018, GL assessment will once again be designing the 11 Plus papers in Buckinghamshire (one of the last councils to run a fully selective education system). The tests will cover Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Mathematics.
